Add, replace and resize images
Uploading your own photos, generating new ones, and getting them to sit the way you want.
- 1
Click the image you want to change
This works for ordinary photos, your logo, inline graphics, and the full-bleed photo behind a hero.
- 2
Upload your own or generate one
Upload from your device, or have Webese generate a new image to match the site. Uploaded photos are compressed for you before they go anywhere, so a large phone photo is fine.
- 3
Size it with the slider
Drag to resize. You can size back up again afterwards — the slider's range adapts to the image rather than capping it.
- 4
Choose Fit or Fill
Fit shows the whole image inside its slot, which can leave space around it. Fill crops it to cover the slot completely. Fill is usually what you want for a hero or a card photo.
- 5
Align it, or delete it
Ordinary images can be aligned left, centre or right. Deleting a background photo clears the photo but keeps the card it sat in, so you don't lose the section by accident.
Worth knowing
- Add an image under a block of text with the Add image button in the text toolbar. Closing the picker without choosing anything removes the empty placeholder rather than leaving a grey box behind.
- If an upload fails, the most common cause is a HEIC photo straight from an iPhone — export it as JPEG first.
